Unfortunately, I keep getting different answers each time.

Good luck with the book, C.J.Gregory Marshall Smithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01046473659340557062noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8198581514056172349.post-21520634762053727522011-06-27T19:08:28.112-04:002011-06-27T19:08:28.112-04:00Well said, J.D. Maybe that's why I started liking first person so much better? *shurgs* Why ever it is, I now prefer to read it over third!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01534284446634705363noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8198581514056172349.post-6436497591145919262011-06-27T16:43:10.453-04:002011-06-27T16:43:10.453-04:00I ask my boyfriend how a guy would act/think or I ...I ask my boyfriend how a guy would act/think or I let him read over the parts that are writing in a male character's POV. And I agree, it's hard to master the way the opposite sex thinks. They see the world in a different light than we ladies. LOL.

I also write in first person. I hate head-hoping in third person and will only tolerate a small amount before I put the book down. A different POV per chapter usually works and keeps the story mysterious because you don't know what the other characters are thinking during that chapter - but when you have 3 pluss POV in one chapter, the story loses tension IMHO.J.
